Historian of Science

Alexander Hall is a science communication expert, a historian of science by training, his research explores the history of science in popular media; analysing how scientists have gained positions of expertise in society and used the media to communicate complex theories to the public. He is an Assistant Professor in the School of Interdisciplinary Science at McMaster University and a Co-Investigator on the large multidisciplinary project ‘Science and Religion: Exploring the Spectrum’.

Alexander Hall is currently on the management team for the International Research Network for the Study of Science and Belief in Society. Alexander was also formerly the History of Science Section Recorder for the British Science Association, and President of the International Commission for the History of Meteorology.
